Good Kindle Maigret en de man met de gele schoenen / Maigret en de maniak van Montmartre / Maigret en de clochard George Simenon's novels were often psychological thriller's / detectives. The author guides you into the minds and heart of the characters. The often sublte descriptions of the story settingsmake it easy to imagine who life was back then. The challenges people face are often the same as now; ofcourse technology has changed dramatically. In this omnibus with three stories, Commisionar Maigret faces a variety of murder cases. The introspective working style of the police man has the effect that the stories are not page-turning, fast paced whodunnits. It is fun to see how police work develops. Sometimes very technical, sometimes on instinct. In every muder story it is the sport to guess who the murderer is. Trust me, it isn't easy.I read this book in the train while commuting. It was a relieve when I finished it so i could get the weight off my back 😉
