The best Ebook Heroes and Villains: Pawn in the Game I was emailed by the author and asked to read and review her book. This story had an interesting enough description to make me want to read it. I was very hopeful for this book. It just didn't hold my attention. It jumped around a bit too much and at times I felt confused about what was going on. There was just too much to keep up with. I might have stuck it out and tried to finish it but I couldn't get past all the grammatical errors. I just had to put the book down.

  2. When I was approached by the author with a review request, the blurb captured my imagination and I agreed Unfortunately, I found that the book didn t live up to the expectations I had for it There is a lot going on in this story Almost to the complication level of Game of Thrones, with the families and the politics and the double crossing Sadly, I felt that the author didn t quite have the tools to do the tale justice Because, although there is undoubtedly a decent plot arc to this, the narrativ [...]

  3. Rating 2.5 starsHeroes and Villains is a fantasy story with a beautiful cover It s about this girl Aurora who ALWAYSSSS wears her red coat and the Shadow kingdoms and a secret organization. One of the things, why I didn t love the book, was that for moments I felt like there was too much going on I didn t like the constant time jumps, I get that it was useful to see what had happened in the past and how it was related to the present but still it was a bit distracting. The book has a lot of suspens [...]

  4. This originally appeared at The Irresponsible Reader I m not really sure where to start with this, to tell you the truth Tara R has put a lot of effort into this, there s clearly an ambitious story she s wanting to tell Sadly, she s not the kind of writer yet who can pull it off She has a hard enough time pulling off basic grammar, punctuation and vocabulary, much less a consistent voice and created culture I d given up on this thing by the end of chapter three, but was willing and eager for her [...]

  5. I was asked by the author of this book if I would kindly read her self published new novel to review I know some reviewers aren t overly keen on reading self published book but we cannot all afford to go the traditional publishing route So well done for you Tara for taking the leap to even write a book The novel follows Aurora as our main character who fights for the justice of those less fortunate However, one day when she is trying to save the life of her professor, she is somewhat rescued and [...]

  6. Pawn in the Game by Tara R is a really great book that I am very glad that I got the chance to read the book I believe that Tara R has a really good plot and this book was wonderfully written I was sucked in the moment I was read the synopsis and I really wanted to read it.Like I was saying before Pawn in the Game has a great plot and the author was able to take us to many places in the course of the book I enjoyed the characters development, backstory and with how the author imagined the way th [...]

  7. The author of this book, Tara R, emailed me and asked if I would be willing to read her book and I gladly accepted I have read several fantasy books and, as a matter of fact, they are one of my most read genres so I was really looking forward to it It did have a plot line that was new, which is hard to do since there are so many fantasy books out there, so I did enjoy that With that being said, there were a few things that I didn t necessarily love.Let s start with the things I did like The char [...]

  8. I had the opportunity to read this book it was a little different for me I give this book a 3.5 stars and I didn t mind reading a self published author it s great that Tara took the leap and did this This book focuses on Aurora she s a strong character in her own right and is fighting for justice As I read this book I was pulled in to a world that had lots to explore Aurora was pulled into the world of magic and from then she s put on her quest This book had its twists and you fine yourself wond [...]

  9. The book introduces you to Aurora Grimaldi, a young woman fighting injustice in a dark world The Imperium saves her professor from death penalty, taking her also to safety. With Heroes and Villains Pawn in the Game, Tara R has created the adventurous story of a young woman, her professor, and the members of the Imperium Heroes and Villains Pawn in the Game is a quite entertaining read with unanticipated turns It took me a few pages to understand Aurora and her ways The relevant characters are of [...]

  10. This is good fantasy novel for anyone who enjoys the genre, the only thing I had any issues with was the that it bounced from person to person and also past and present which was confusing at times and caused me to have to flip back to see who and when The switching voices is hard enough but the time frame change on top of it was a little bothersome but in the end I would still recommend this book and look forward to reading the next one This review was originally posted on Books In Brogan
