The Guitarist go inside Kindle Gripping, intriguing, beautiful, sexy, hot and wicked. And that's just the guitar! Diego Ortego is a rock god, the man with magic fingers when he plays his guitar. Then he purchases an antique Strata and is warned that it is cursed. But he's not afraid, he's not afraid of anything. This storyline was not only intriguing but very well written. It grabbed you and brought you on a wild tour with a heavy metal band, with a cursed guitar. The main character was well defined, and the supporting characters were just that, supporting characters. However Diego is not the only main character, his guitar is also an integral part of this story, equally if not a bit more important to this story. Things do get strange once he starts caressing it's strings. His music becomes more powerful, more alive. Things start happening, weird things, unexplainable things. But it's the woman who visits not only his room but his dreams that are a mystery. They are the same, but different. It doesn't take long for him to figure out what is going on.This is very entertaining read, with an "oh oh" ending. . The best Ebook The Guitarist This review is for “The Guitarist” by Lindy S. HudisI loved the premise, the ending was nice… I just would have preferred the book to be a bit longer, to add some more back story and details.Plot: The plot, the setting, perfect. Think 80s big hair rock bands. There were absolutely no plot holes, although some things were mentioned about another band member, that were never elaborated on.Characters: Diego– a.k.a.– a Rock God, is tired of the groupie love scene and wants something more. For a short story, he is developed well enough, as are his fellow band members, supporting characters, and of course – his mysterious lady love interest. The Writing: The writing needed polishing… It was easy to ignore the mistakes, but not to overlook them. Still, even with the overly colorful descriptions and repetitive groupie scenes, the story still managed to keep its fast-pace & my attention, from start to finish. Quick read.In Case You Wanted to Know: If you lived through the 80s, and saw GNR trip up the stairs to accept an award, or dreamed of being Tawny on the hood of Whitesnake's car, then nothing about this book will surprise you. Groupies are usually DTF, drugs surround rock 'n roll, and F-bombs are the descriptive words of choice… Also, if you are thinking there is a lot of violence, there's not – there's “ouch!”- violence, but nothing that feels or ends up being, life-threatening.Overall: Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed the story. I read it straight through and never once felt like putting it down. I'm giving it a four because I was hoping it would have a bit more of a mystery to it. I was hoping it would be a little less transparent. And I guess ultimately, with the way I read the synopsis – I really wanted some “murder/death/kill” in there…a dead body – whodunit, mixed with a trapped lover in need of rescue – – more! I wanted more story. All in all, this was a delightful read. Like a sexy twist/variation of “Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny” – but with way more sex and no Strawberry Rivers, and with a hero more like Slash, than Jack Black! Although I've always preferred Axl! ;)*I received an advanced copy of this story, in exchange for my honest review. *This book review format is copied and used by permission, from awesome Amazon user: DeeArr1

  3. Dear Ms Hudis, I ve recently completed reading your recent work, The Guitarist Thank you for sending me a review copy, by the way I found it managed to bring out many different emotions in me Intrigue Not so much what was going to happen next , because, quite frankly, the conflict was predictable, at least at a high level That s not necessarily a bad thing, either, not for the story you were trying to tell Rather, it was an intrigue as to HOW you were going to proceed to the next anticipated ste [...]

  4. i869otobucket albums abThe Guitarist was a 3.5 star read.Diego is what you would call a Rock god, not only while playing his strat but also in bed with the groupies When the band stops to eat, Diego sees a guitar that he has to have, money is no issue He finally convinces the man to sell it, however he does get a warning it s cursed Once Diego gets back on the road with his new guitar weird things start to happen Diego was having weird dreams about a woman, possibly his soulmate This was a very [...]

  5. Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.Diego is a god a rock god, no less He buys an antique Fender Stratocaster guitar with a twenty thousand dollar price tag, and a warning It s cursed He doesn t believe in such things, until people are being harmed by the guitar, and a strange woman visits him at night When those visits take a darker turn, Diego knows he has to do something, but what Only a god can break a curse oh, but he is a god Far too short 45 minute [...]

  6. Diego is a guitarist in a band He feels that he is a rock god He loves his strat guitars that are custom made How can a rock god love and hate touring If he dislikes being intimate with groupies, and touring, why does he do it What happens when they stop in a small town, on the way to their first show The rest of the folks go to get food Where does Diego go What happens when he spies a guitar and how much does he pay for it What does the owner of the shop tell him about the guitar What happens a [...]

  8. The Guitarist is a Rock N Roll Fable to be sure Diego Ortega is a Rock God who meets his match when he finds a mysterious guitar with magical powers in a small town This is a highly erotic story of a jaded rocker who half heartedly frolics with his many sex crazed groupies while in his heart he yearns for something The premise captivated me enough that I read it in one go I liked the way it ended, but I would ve have liked an epilogue, giving me a bit of a view into the future of Diego and his [...]
