Bestseller Books Scorched Edges Scorched Edges is the sixth book in the Tales from The Edge series by L.M. Somerton. I haven't had a lot of luck with L.M. Somerton is the past, but this is firefighters and BDSM, so I had to give it a try. Unfortunately the book fell short and didn't deliver what I was looking for. I wanted hurt/healing/comfort intermixed with mind-blowing, passionate sex, while the MCs fell in lust and then in love. With a firefighter! What I got instead was a creepy firefighter stalking a vulnerable man and then treating that man like a child. I didn't feel any passion between the two men and the way firefighter-slash-Dom Beau and his Dom friends spoke of wallflower-slash-sub Marty was incredibly degrading. It left a bad taste in my mouth. If you are looking for an adult BDSM book with passion and emotion and hot sex, this one isn't going to cut it. I suggest Training Season, For Real, Bound By Lies or Falling for You instead.Advanced review copy of Scorched Edges provided by Pride Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This review has been crossed posted to Jessewave

  2. REVIEWED FOR PRISM BOOK ALLIANCEBook 6 in Tales from the Edge sees us back visiting the BDSM club known as The Underground.Marty a mere civil servant who is actually a spy and Beau who works for the fire department met a few months ago after a bombing but neither man has reached out to the other until now Beau is an experienced Dom determined to introduce Marty to the lifestyle in the hope that they will be compatible in all areas For a man with little sexual experience Marty seems to jump at th [...]

  3. I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads 3.5 STARSScorched Edges is my first read within the tales of The Edge Series It is book 6 but I had no issues reading as a stand alone.Salter Beauman Beau, is a fireman He s in control in all things in his life, including his sex life He s a Dominant When he meets Marty, a geeky analyst for security services, he knows he wants to get to know him better Beau has hopes that Marty will make the perfect submissive While the two [...]

  4. I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads The premise of this book is sound a seriously hot firefighter Dom, beau chasing down his newly discovered possible sub, Marty Throw in an arsonist who s chasing down Beau and some of the dynamics have to change I had some difficulty with some of the scenes, but chose to give Beau the benefit of the doubt in the heat of the moment It definitely warmed the cheeks on my face, not just Marty s and I ll continue reading Some of [...]

  5. Original review on Molly LollyFour and a half stars I m so glad Marty and Beau got their story I ave wanted it since they were introduced as characters They had some serious obstacles in their way, though they were mostly external I was on the edge of my seat for most of the book wanting to know who the arsonist was and if he was going to be caught The emotions are written so well in this story Marty s nervousness, Beau s fear, their love for each other All of it is easy to see as you re reading [...]

  6. 4 Heart Review by RobertaI like a good BDSM book, I love series so this book was right up my alley I really like reading books that even though they are series, can I come in and be able to follow the storyline without having to have read the previous books I have to say that this book did that perfectly.Salter Beau Beauman is the firefighter who is part of the Edges crew Beau is former military and is now a firefighter who loves his job and the people he works with Beau works hard and plays har [...]

  7. 4.5 starsThe earlier books in this series were erotic romances with added suspense While there certainly were heartstopping moments in the stories, the main focus was on romance, BDSM, and scorching pun intended scenes Not so Scorched Edges This book is an edge of your seat reading experience from the very beginning This story starts from the villain s perspective Right from the start the reader is left in no doubt that the fire starter is dangerous, deranged, and determined to get Beau and that [...]

  8. This is book 6 in the tales of The Edge Series If you haven t read any of the previous books in this series, don t worry, it can be read very successfully as a stand alone. The Edge s clientele and indeed the Management themselves, don t lead easy going mundane lives, hence why we are now on Book 6, everyone has a story to tell and the Author loves to deliver their tales with a certain relish that is a joy to read in the books that I have read so far. This time around its Beau s storyline, he s a [...]

  9. It feels like ages since I got to immerse myself in Lu s fabulous BDSM world found in her series Tales from the Edge I believe I ve mentioned in reviews for other books in the series, that one of the things I enjoy so much about these books is that I usually get an opportunity to revisit favorite characters, i.e Joe, Ollie, Aiden, Heath, Alistair, Carey, Becket, Christian, Kai, and Harry It feels like family, and I adore that Beau and Marty were introduced at the end of Becket and Christian s bo [...]

  10. Scorched Edges Tales from the Edge 6 by LM Somerton3.5 starsM M Romance, BDSM, mysteryTriggers Stalking, fire, light BDSMI was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.Beau and Marty make a cute, but somewhat strange couple You have Beau, the alpha, tough as nails Dom, who desperately wants Marty, the geeky, somewhat socially awkward spy. While I have loved this series, this was a stranger story for me I loved the dynamic that the two characters brought to the series, however, [...]

  11. Scorched Edges is 6 in the Tales from The Edge series, and it is quite the thriller An arsonist is on the loose and it doesn t take fire fighter Beau long to recognize that the bad guy is after him What it does take a while to figure out is why Beau is a big guy and a Dom at The Underground, where Beau likes to relax and enjoy his friends He doesn t have a submissive of his own until he finds Marty, who he feels is a perfect fit.Marty is new to the lifestyle and his introduction to the lifestyle [...]

  12. Last one, so far although by the end of this one I think we found another love match. These two, we really didn t hear much about in the first books, although they both have made an appearance. What was interesting about this one was we met people out side the club and lifestyle Beau s firehouse mates play a big role in this As well as just these two guys being together learning each other, living each other nice.As Marty is introduced into the lifestyle, its a slow and careful progression I thoug [...]

  13. I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Inked Rainbow Reads Review Team 3 stars for this M MThis book was just ok for me I had high hopes for a hot fireman and a geek I just didn t feel much connection between the characters There was some drama, I mean how could there not be since there was an arson on the loose The facts that Marty would spit out, while cute at times drove me nuts at other times as well There was very little BDSM in this so I would call it light BDSM if that [...]

  14. Typically bratty sub for this series, and a brainiac too Marty is awakened to his subby side by Beau. The development between them is fun and light in keeping with the other stories. The fire starter line and fire scenes are quite intense giving a good feel for the dynamics of fire and the obsession of a fire starter The finale is suitable tense and final.I have enjoyed reading these stories even though the subs can be a bit juvenile at times for me.
