  1. This is one of the first romance novels I read back when I was in high school It got me hooked on the genre and on reading again.

It seemed to me there was an inordinate amount of repetition, especially at first, and the story didn t move along until about three quarters through.Also, it seemed to me the characters names were not appropriate for the time and place Alasdair is usually a Scottish name, but it was the Englishman who was thus named Vanessa is Greek, so it could be in use in many countries, but I ve never heard another Scottish heroine named that Kirsta is a typically Scandinavian name, not English Even Cavnear [...]


  3. The plot was a little shaky, with many twists and turns to try and keep up with I certainly liked Vanessa s fire, and the humor lain beneath all the romance.
