Nev go inside Ebook I'm honored to be the first reviewer! I've been a fan of Kristi Ayers since I read her debut novel, One Petal Flower. I knew I'd never be disappointed when it came time to dig into any of her future work, and I was most definitely not when I finished Nev! A completely different element than her first paranormal story, Nev tells the realistic tale of a typical, yet feisty young lady dealing with atypical life situations. First, she has an adopted cousin who grapples with his feelings for her, to which comes as a pleasant surprise for Nev, especially because of the delicate circumstances. But those circumstances are certainly not what she imagines. She finds herself questioning her own feelings, feelings she perhaps might have buried deep.Another issue comes along which nearly breaks Nev, but her family is there to help heal her wounds, along with Cameron. Cam will do whatever it takes to ensure Nev recovers when it comes to all of the trauma life has handed her. He's a true knight in shining armour. It just takes a while for Nev to realize how far those who love her will go to protect her, and seal her happiness.I've always admired the way this author weaves beautiful writing into ordinary descriptions of things we see everyday. Her characters are once again given great detail and easy to relate to. Her style is very admirable, showing the ability to switch gears between real life and supernatural plots. I was eager to finish Nev in one day!I can't wait to see what Kristi comes up with next when it comes to young adult fiction. Kudos to this author!. Five years after her mother s death, Nev has the routine down of juggling high school and housework to maintain a semblance of normalcy for her dad and older brother Her adopted cousin, Cameron, never one to let her shoulder the burden, often comes over to help her He s gotten so used to her company, witnessing her humorous pranks on her brother and watching favorite movFive years after her mother s death, Nev has the routine down of juggling high school and housework to maintain a semblance of normalcy for her dad and older brother Her adopted cousin, Cameron, never one to let her shoulder the burden, often comes over to help her He s gotten so used to her company, witnessing her humorous pranks on her brother and watching favorite movies together, that when she begins dating, he becomes protective Constantly worrying about her safety with the school s most coveted bad boy, Cameron s feelings slowly start to turn into something that wars with his subconscious When Nev takes a night to let loose, life plants her onto the first step of a harsh reality, one that she hopes to escape with the family s annual summer trip to Colorado And Cameron plans to be there to help her along the way, conspiring with the universe to see that her heart never breaks again because, after all, she is his everything, whether she knows it or not Cameron is soon faced with addressing his complicated feelings and the prospect of letting Nev know his deepest secret.. Popular Ebook Nev Nev is a book I thoroughly LOVED. The author created characters that invoked feelings from me, and if an author can do that then they are a success. Nev is a book with alternating point of views, which in my opinion really makes a book delve deeper into the story than if it was just from a single point of view. Nev is a sixteen-year-old girl who basically is the "mom" in the family since her mother died five years ago. She lives with her dad and older brother, and pretty much keeps up the house on her own. Her cousin (by adoption), Cameron, is her neighbor and best friend. His family moved in next door when Nev's mother died so they could help out any way they could. Cameron is also sixteen and readily helps Nev with her housework and schoolwork so she doesn't have to do it all herself (her dad and brother are not very helpful people in that area, but you'll see they are very loving people). Cameron and Nev do many things together, just like best friends would. She has a love of classic cars and horror movies, and he likes playing his guitar and basketball, and they often meet in the middle of those interests. Things start to change when Nev starts dating the school's "mysterious new bad boy," even though at first she thought she wasn't into him. Cameron becomes jealous, more jealous than a regular friend/family member would. He finds himself feeling things for her that are quite confusing for him, things a "cousin" shouldn't feel. He keeps an eye on her and warns her about guys like that. They get into a few arguments about it. But where there is a serious scene, just around the corner the author levels it out with a bit of humor (I'll elaborate on that in a minute). After a horrible incident occurs to Nev, the story gets deep. And it seals things in Cameron's mind about his feelings for her. He struggles with the desire to let her know these feelings, yet he doesn't want to ruin their friendship. And he certainly doesn't want to put the family in an odd situation. This is where I'll let you read what happens, and believe me, you'll love it.There is a supporting character that I love. Nev's brother, Brock. He is part of the glue that makes the family strong. You wouldn't think that at the beginning because he is portrayed as a sort of lazy, goofy, slob, but actually I fell in love with him. He grew into a great person who really loves his sister even though they often fought like cats and dogs. And he typically brought humor wherever he showed up. Hopefully the author will write a sequel involving him because I'd like to see where he goes in life.Stop reading reviews and just buy this book. You won't regret it. It's definitely one I'd read over and over.

  7. I won this book in a good reads first reads giveaway The book was a quick and easy read It s a book that is acceptable for a teenager to read, but yet still interesting enough as an adult I wasn t bored There is some adult content that parents may want to consider before allowing their teen to read it, but I feel that really it would allow for an open discussion on what can happen It also highlights areas that parents should talk to their teens about date rape, morning after pill, etc I would re [...]
