She never thought she would run into Logan, her former boyfriend from the brief time she lived in Marietta as a teenager. The attraction between them is instant, as if it never left.I had a hard time liking Samara for the first half of the book. Even considering everything she had been through, she almost had more issues than I could deal with. Logan, on the other hand, was a wonderful sweetheart. I loved him from the beginning. The residents of Marietta were their normal friendly sweet selves. It was a good book, but Samara's issues and overprotectiveness of Jade were hard to tolerate at times.. 2. This is the first of the Montana Born Books that I ve read although I ve been intrigued by some of them before and I can definitely say I m missing out on something because of it There are a ton of couples and side stories that we get little glimpses of as we read Finding Home that I think some familiarity with the little town would have helped BUUUUT having said that, I did really enjoy the story that Snopek gives Sam and Logan It mostly focuses on Sam and her ability to let go, to learn to tru [...]

  3. 3.5 starsRoxanne Snopek has given us another great read Samara and Logan get a second chance at love and this time nothing will keep them apart.Finding Home was a heartwarming read, loved seeing Logan connect with Samara s little girl Jade.Logan was an amazing guy and the perfect man for Samara and Jade Thank you Netgalley and Tule Publishing, Montana Born Books for the advance copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

  4. Posted on What I m ReadingYesterday I read Finding Home by Roxanne Snopek I have enjoyed Roxanne previous stories, but I had a hard time connecting with this story Don t get me wrong, Finding Home is a nice sweet read that deals with some serious issues Basically, Samara Davis finds herself as a widow and decided that she wanted to move back Marietta, Montana, because when she was younger that was the one place that she felt that she could feel at home When she gets there things aren t going as [...]

  5. Roxanne Snopek wrote one of my favourite series so when given the chance to read Finding Home I grabbed it with both hands And she doesn t disappoint as she has brought us a sweet, touching romance, that whilst fairly short, is filled with feeling Getting a second chance is a miracle It s a gift When widow Samara Davis and her daughter return to her hometown in Montana from New York, the last person she expects to find restoring her new home is her high school sweetheart, Logan Stafford But she [...]

  6. A great story of first love, heart break, and a reunion that proves the love never died He was the golden boy, she was from the wrong side of the tracks but the attraction was immediate and strong until one day she was gone Many years later Samara is back in Marietta and when she and Logan come face to face the spark is still there The last thing she needs though is a new relationship, or so she thinks. This story is wonderfully written and these characters are warm and funny and people you just [...]

  7. Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.Again, this book had a lot of potential, but seemed pulled in a million different directions We re never really given a full background on Samara and Logan s past, or even what the situation is with Gramble house To be honest, it seemed kind of slapped together Parts I liked the house fixing up, Logan s ability to handle Jade, Jade and Bob, Jade and Mabel.

  8. Samara with daughter, Jade returns to Marietta because it was the closest thing that she had to to everything, Logan took for granted Instead of a soft peaceful landing she got a house that wasn t ready and a man that she also was not ready for Loved this book, well written characters and it was great to be back in Marietta I really enjoyed the character Bob, ok so he was a dog but Roxanne always includes them A great addition to the Montana Born Homecoming series Highly recommend.

  9. Finding Home was a sweet, pretty clean read This is a novella, so it didn t take long to read it I liked the characters, and I usually like stories about high school sweethearts reuniting however, I felt like something was missing in this story I didn t feel as though there was any build up to Sam and Logan s relationship It just didn t feel that deep to me I received my copy from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

  10. Samara and Logan were High School sweethearts Now a widowed mother of a challenging daughter Samara has come back to town and Logan is the contractor teacher who is finishing up her new house I love the coming home and reuniting first loves aspect to this story It is a good story and has sweet characters, but some aspects were far reaching Overall nice read.

  11. This is a wonderful story of second chances Samara,a widow, comes back to Marietta, Montana, with her four year old daughter Marietta was the place Samara lived for one very happy year in an otherwise unhappy childhood Logan Stafford, her teenage love, is still therew divorced and teaching at the high school and coordinating building projects for the students.

  12. 2.5 Neither Samara nor Logan s characters jelled with me Logan at first seemed a little immature, but that changed about halfway through I so enjoy stories of re found love and in that, this did not disappoint Loving the Marietta setting minus the cowboys

  13. I found this book a very heart warming read About an artistic child and her stressed out mother, who was trying to build a new life , moving to her old home town.

  14. 15. Finding Home by Roxanne SnopekShe s always been the outsider but widow Samara Davis is determined her daughter will have a better life So she returns to Marietta, Montana, the one place that felt like home, to find that the house she s moving into is nowhere near ready and the man responsible for the delay is none other than the high school sweetheart whose heart she broke fourteen years ago.Fourteen years after her abrupt departure, Samara Davis is back in Marietta, Montana Now a widow, all she [...]

  16. I love small towns, and I love getting to return to Marietta, Montana Apparently Samara Davis feels the same way She is back after being gone for fourteen years She is now a widow with Jade, her four year old special needs daughter in tow She feels that Marietta is the best place to raise her in a small, close knit community that holds many fond memories for her Imagine her surprise to find her high school sweetheart, Logan Stafford, in charge of the renovation of her house It becomes immediatel [...]

  17. This is a great story if you want a little light reading that is short and sweet It has the man who has always loved a girl from high school and never forgot her He gets a second chance at love and he runs full force to her The man in this story is what every woman wants someone who will always be there for you with all your baggage and who loves your child even if the child has special needs I mean really who wouldn t want that Logan was the football player in high school that every girl wanted [...]

  18. Reviewed for Read Your Writes Book Reviewsby KimI love the world Tule Publishing Group has created with its Montana Born imprint It s a world where several characters cross over into other books written by different authors The best part is that the books are all stand alone.Samara Sam Davis is a young widow who unexpectedly lost her husband, Michael, a little over a year ago Now, along with her four year old daughter, Jade, she returns to the one place that ever felt like home, Marietta, Montan [...]

  19. I have to say, Finding Home by Roxanne Snopek was a pleasant surprise The narrative was paced well, grammatically correct, and effortless in its execution I was drawn in right away by the hilarity of Samara s first few moments back in her hometown of Marietta, Montana, and it wasn t long before I was completely sucked into the story.Let me preface this review by admitting I don t like novellas In my experience as a reviewer I ve found that 9 times out of 10, novellas are rushed There isn t time [...]

  20. This book had me hooked for the moment I found out Samara was a single mom There are not a lot of single mom books out there and being one myself, I like reading them Samara has lost her husband, has a child that learns different than others and is starting a new life in the only place she has ever felt like home Finding a great deal on a house and wanting to get settled with her daughter sounded perfect Life had been really hard on her and she was hoping this new start would make this better Tr [...]

  21. 22. 3.5 Star reviewSnopek gives us a second chance love story based in small town setting Samara has always had a challenging life With moving so much as a kid, she never was able to set down roots The one time it really mattered, when she was falling in love with Logan, she was ripped away again without even a chance at goodbye Now sixteen years later she is has come back to that same small town, this time hoping to help her daughter Jade have some stability in her life after the death of her fathe [...]

  24. Samara Davis hadn t had an easy life, now widowed and a single mother she is returning to the only one of her former hometowns that held good memories Samara is determined to start over and to create a good life and stability for her daughter Maybe when her daughter is settled she will be able to think about her own life, maybe.Logan Stafford was the quintessential small town golden boy in high school Then even after a failed marriage was still hot stuff around the small town of Marietta Single, [...]

  25. When non plot issues crop upI ve been trying to write this review for days but it s finally settled on me that what s been challenging my ability to write it is my bias for Snopek s previous work Reading Snopek was kind of a fluke I m not a big contemporary romance, nor am I into cowboys, but putting aside the long explanation I read her Three River Ranch series and have really enjoyed it One of the keys to that though, was that I liked each heroine from the get go Unfortunately, I didn t have t [...]

  26. After losing her husband, Samara Davis and her young daughter, Jade, move back to her small Montana hometown to start over After getting settled in their temporary home, Samara pays a visit to her new home that is in the final stages of being remodeled When she arrives, what she least expects is to find her high school flame, Logan, doing all of the work When Logan Samara s eyes meet, it s apparent the attraction is still there and after all these years, never went away. After never getting the p [...]

  28. I liked the premise Logan was sweet, sexy, understanding, etc Loved Logan Didn t care for Sam It was obvious there was some issue with Sam s daughter Jade, but the book gives the impression it could be a number of things Logan developed a better repoire with Jade than her mother did.Samara was a major problem for me I could not bring myself to like her She seemed to be neurotic, anxiety ridden, and wound so tight she was always seemed to be on the verge of shattering Then something would happen [...]
