Tales From the Tundra: A Collection of Inuit Stories is a Books This book contains 5 different stories from the Inuit culture. Several of them are about various animals - origin stories, or one (the raven and the loon) is a tale similar to kipling's just so stories (like how the elephant got his trunk). It's a cute book. The stories are kept fairly short, and are easy for younger readers to read and understand (thought they might have to look up what a ptarmigan and a Snow Bunting are. I know I need to.). The illustrations are quite interesting as well - very bright, and colourful. Quite cartoon-ish as well in some cases.It's an interesting book. The only downside for me was I thought it was a different, similar book on the same subject. I believe it might be by the same authors. It was also about Inuit stories, but contained more of the creepy legends about monsters and such. I'll just have to keep looking!.
