Emma is a determined girl who knows what she wants out of life. She has to constantly start over but she never lets that get her down. She is a strong female character and no matter what she goes through she always finds a way to make it work!Emma had her life all planned out. She had a great job, the man of her dreams, and a wedding to plan! That all came to a halt when her fiancé Brett not only broke off their engagement but forced her to move out of their house and on top of that she was fired from her job. Wow talk about bad things come in threes! She was jobless, husbandless, and now homeless. Emma decided to move to Paris and start over. She really came into her own while there. She got a great job, lived with her friend, and even met a couple of French men. This book isn't just about French kissing (although that isn’t such a bad thing), it's about finding the person who you are meant to be. It’s about self-discovery and letting go without being afraid. And yes it is also a lot about falling in love! Emma is the perfect female character. She keeps getting knocked down but doesn’t allow herself to stay down and wallow. She gets back up and starts over.
